This competition is open to those who are under 35 years.
Research studies submitted should be original and unpublished, final year research projects and thesis which are under study or presented in recent convocation are also welcome.
Chemistry research applied to textile industry will be accepted; equally research in dyeing, finishing and printing industry, fibre manufacturers, dyeing materials and auxiliary products e.g. process optimization, quality control, setting of textile machinery, clean technologies, improvement in ecological impact etc, will also be accepted. Basic textile chemistry studies are also eligible. Practical applications will be evaluated.
Each participant can present only one research study.
The prize is endowed with 1000 €. The Jury, if considers it convenient, can consent to an award of 300€ as a second prize.
The papers should be presented in Spanish or English language and should be drafted as a publication taking into consideration the following points:
Introduction and objectives
Experimental part
Results and discussion
Conclusions and possible practical applications
Literature
One example in paper and a copy in disquiet or CD Rom should be submitted. Only one identification theme should be included in both. The name and surnames of the author, private address, telephone number and industry should be mentioned and included in a closed envelop; the identification theme should appear on the outside of the envelope.
The paper should not exceed 30 pages including tables and graphs. Samples and other materials or documents should be included as Annex.
The deadline for accepting papers is up to 18.00h on 11th April 2008 in the Secreteriat of ASOCIACIÓN ESPAÑOLA DE QUIMICOS Y COLORISTAS TEXTILES, situated in Gran Via de les Corts Catalanes, 670 planta 6ª, 08010 Barcelona. A receipt will be given which will serve to withdraw the original documents if they are not awarded prize.
After the Jury´s verdict, the papers presented, including the winners, will be analysed by the board of Editors of Revista de Quimica Textil for their possible publication.
Prized papers and published in Journal of "Quimica Textil", can also be published in other journals by mentioning at the foot of the first page "research paper awarded A.E.Q.C.T prize 2008".
The prize will be awarded during the 21th IFATCC Congress on 7th May 2008.
The A.E.Q.C.T prize winner will be asked to present a brief summary of its work during the symposium
The members of the Jury will be appointed by the governing Body of A.E.Q.C.T.
The Jury can declare the prize deserted. The Jury´s verdict will be unappealable.
